When Legendary Marina & Yacht Club opened its doors in May of 2024, the team had big plans—and big demands. With 420 dry slips and plans underway to expand into what will become one of the largest boat storage facilities in the U.S., operational efficiency was critical from day one.
The Challenge:
The team knew that relying on manual systems like Excel, pen, and paper to manage renters wasn’t going to cut it for an operation of their size. This outdated approach would make communication difficult and create opportunities for costly errors.
Renee Walker explains how communication stalls operations when relying on manual systems:
“Think about this: a client calls and says they want to pick up their boat at 2:00 PM. Before Molo, you would write that on a sticky note, but the forklift driver would not get the sticky note. Now with Molo and Speedy Dock, the forklift drivers have an iPad and can see in real time which boat needs to be launched, at what time, the boat size—everything.”
The team also lacked visibility into key performance data, making it hard for leadership to monitor operations and identify areas for improvement.

Walker remarked, “now you just go to Speedy Dock and add it. You can even add comments like, please put it on the south dock or add ice to the cooler, and everything gets transferred immediately to MOLO.”

Notes on individual boater preferences are stored directly in the platform—boosting customer satisfaction and retention. “You can note a client’s preferences in the profile. Those little details make a big difference in customer service.”
